For the Kofta's
I made this recently, and thought I should probably add this in my blog....This is for u amma....
What you need:
For the Kofta's
- Potatoes - boiled and mashed - 3 nos (makes about 10 kofta's)
- Green chilies - 3
- Coriander - finely chopped - 3 tbsp
- salt - to taste
- Cornflour - 3 - 4 tsp
For the Gravy:
- Onions - 2
- Tomatoes - 2
- Red chili powder - according to one's taste
- Salt - to taste
- Dhaniya Powder, Turmeric powder, Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp each
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlics paste - 1 tsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Sugar - a pinch
How to go about it
- First, mash the potatoes and bring all the other ingredients together. Add required cornflour and combine together well.
- Make little balls and deep fry them until golden brown.
- Now, in a blender, quarter the onions and tomatoes. Blend them into a nice paste.
- In a kadai, add oil. Once the oils is hot, add the ground paste and stir it for few minutes. Close with a lid and let it cook until the raw flavor is off.
- Add all the dry powders and ginger garlic paste.
- Cook for another few minutes, until the oil separates from the gravy.
- Add the kofta's to the gravy while serving, with hot roti's or phulkas.
